Nu vele vliegvelden in West-Europa stil liggen wegens de vulkanische uitbarsting op IJsland is het een mooi moment om het komende album van The Black Dog eens onder de aandacht te brengen. Music For Real Airports is namelijk een concept album van het Britse trio rond de luchthaven.

Airports are important and revealing. They are dystopian microcosms of a possible future society. The necessity of safety requires that they be systems of human control which only elevate the stress of their transient occupiers. Airports’ promise travel, exploration and excitement but endlessly break that promise with their stale, tedious pressure.

Music For Real Airports is in de eerste plaats een multimedia installatie in samenwerking met Human Studio die te zien zal zijn in galerieën. De albumtitel refereert uiteraard openlijk naar de jaren ’70 klassieker Music For Airports van Brian Eno. Preview de plaat op de website rondom het album.
